Music is a huge part of our culture. With many shows that help people pursue their musical dreams, it’s hard to keep up with who’s the best. Here are some websites that can help you keep up with the latest news on your favorite artists, information on upcoming festivals, and help you to find the latest chart topper.
www.music-map.com/
This website’s home page consists of a single search bar. When you type in the name of an artist, you are taken to another page with a “map” of related musicians. This site’s great if you’re looking for someone of a specific genre.
www.festivalfinder.com/
This site features information on over 2,500 festivals in North America. It even allows you to look through music festivals by genre of music. It’s a great tool if you’re wanting to go to a music fest, but you just don’t know which one.
www.abeano.com/
This site’s made for all of the people who are too hipster to say that they’re hipster. It’s a great place to find interesting blogs and music videos. It features a lot of underrated artists that deserve a few more website hits.
http://www.stereomood.com/
This one of the coolest music websites I’ve ever come across. It considers itself to be an “emotional Internet radio.” It all begins with either selecting, or typing in, your mood or activity. The site then takes you to a playlist designed specifically for what you typed in. It’s essentially building you a list of songs designed to help, or go along with, your current emotion or what you’re doing.
