Top 10 songs of the week
I want to get in my car and ride in the sunset with my hair blowing in the wind. This song mostly pertains to a significant other. Although, I would probably be singing this to my dog in the passenger seat with me. I promise it’s still an awesome song, but don’t get too sad about the actual lyrics.
2. Trampled by Turtles – “Winners”
Honestly, I only started listening to this band because the group name is absolutely the weirdest thing ever, but this song is the definition of chill. This song can calm your mood down no matter what, so listen to it especially if you need a break from everything.
Although this song might slightly make you in your feelings, it also makes you feel empowered to do something different with your life. This is definitely a morning or a rainy day song.
4. Florence & The Machine – “What Kind Of Man”
Definitely listen to this song when you’re getting over a breakup. It slightly makes you want to turn the volume to its max and jam about how much a douche your ex was.
5. Milky Chance – “Stolen Dance”
This song has gone pretty mainstream, but you can’t help but want to sing along. The lyrics are so catchy, and it makes me want to dance even though I would have no idea how to dance to it.
6. Modest Mouse – “Lampshades on Fire”
This song should for sure be played in the summer with the top off of your car or the sunroof open. It’s pretty weird but in the best way possible that you can’t help to keep it on repeat.
7. Alabama Shakes – “Don’t Wanna Fight”
Listening to this makes me want to see them in concert but a concert on the beach, y’know? If somebody who actually pays attention to the lyrics, you can play this for your boyfriend/girlfriend when they start to fight with you. Maybe this song can be your relationship fix.
I actually want to have a boyfriend for the sole purpose of singing this song at the top of my lungs with him like we’re in a movie. Learn the lyrics to this and scream them as loud as possible because you’ll feel so happy after.
9. Odesza – “Say My Name (feat. Zyra)”
Imagine yourself at Coachella. This is the perfect song for that. I actually want to dance all around my bedroom every morning listening to this because I’m pretty positive I’ll have a better day if I listen to this before starting off.
Okay yes I know this song is definitely for a couple. Don’t listen to it AT ALL if you’re in a bad breakup or just lonely because this will quickly put you in your feelings. However, if you’re happily in a relationship, all power to you to sing this song while you’re thinking about your significant other.
