What works best for you?
January 17, 2021
All skin is beautiful, no matter the color or age. Everyone should be able to take care of their skin and let it be as healthy as possible. As someone who has experienced basically every skin type due to many factors, such as diet and reactions to medicated products, I have tried many of the products out there. After testing all of the products listed below, it was easy to figure out which product was best for what skin type. Pay attention to the benefits of each product to find out what is best for you.
Dry Skin
Dry skin has to be one of the worst skin issues. After a year-long experience with very drying acne medication, I suffered from dehydrated skin. My current skin care routine was only making the problem worse, so I began testing new products to solve the problem. After months of struggle, I finally found the best products.Â
The CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser for Normal to Dry Skin is the best hydrating cleanser that I have tried. It is a super soft, hydrating and affordable product. It helped to relieve almost all of the discomfort on my face, especially around the eyes. It is excellent for both removing makeup and simple cleansing.Â
The best moisturizer that I tried for dry skin was the Clinique Moisture Surge. It soaks in immediately and gives you a soft, clean glow. However, the product is a bit expensive. An option that is a little bit cheaper is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream. It is also very moisturizing and easily accessible, being sold at places like Target.Â
Combination Skin
Combination skin can be a little weird. It doesn’t fall into the dry or oily category, so it has its own. It can be hard to find products that really work for combination skin because ones for dry skin can leave your skin too oily, and ones for oily skin can leave your skin too dry. Below are some of the best products for combination skin.
The La Roche Posay Effaclar Medicated Acne Face Wash is the best cleanser I have ever used, hands down. It is perfect for combination skin because it has oil-controlling properties, but it also does not strip your skin of its moisture at all. It is the only acne cleanser I have ever used that is not harsh or drying. It is an acne cleanser, but I have never met a teenager without acne. It is also available at accessible places like Target, which is a huge plus.Â
Another great cleanser for combination skin is the Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser. This cleanser is very foamy and affordable. The small exfoliating particles help to remove dead skin. It leaves your skin feeling tingly and fresh, and it can be found at places like Walmart.Â
A moisturizer that has worked the best for combination skin is the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. It is very lightweight and keeps your skin feeling moisturized all day. You can find it basically anywhere, and it is inexpensive. It also has vitamin E and B5 to help nourish the skin. Most lotions leave an oily residue or shine on the skin by the end of the day, but that is not the case with this product.
Oily Skin
Oily skin was the biggest obstacle in my skin care journey. Having people comment on your shiny forehead every day can be totally embarrassing. Products for normal skin usually leave you very shiny, and it often feels like there is no hope ever to have a matte face. Don’t get discouraged. Keep reading, and you will see some of the best products.
The Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser does a wonderful job at controlling excess oil. It cleans deep into your pores and helps to keep the oil from returning during the day. It is also not dry.
Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Cleanser is a classic. It is extremely popular and with good reason. The cleanser works hard to remove all oil, and I noticed that it also helped control oil. The pretty pink color, price and delicious grapefruit scent are all big pluses of this product, too.Â
Skin care may be a hassle sometimes, but it is entirely worth it. It is worth it, in the end, to keep your face happy, healthy and clean. Everyone is unique and has their own needs and skin care problems, but with the proper assistance and information, you can find the products that will work best for you.
