Iran has launched over a dozen missiles at two Iraqi bases housing American troops. This attack followed the raise of Iran’s “flag of doom” earlier this week. This is in retaliation to the American airstrike that killed Qasem Soleimani. No American casualties have been reported.
For the past five months, bushfires have ravaged Australia and destroyed over 1,000 homes and 32,400 square miles of land. Devastating images of the landscape and animals trapped in the blaze have spread over social media over the past couple of weeks. Celebrities such as Kaylen Ward, Kendall Jenner and Chris Hemsworth are using their platforms as a way to spread awareness and raise money for this cause.
The Dallas Cowboys have hired Mike McCarthy as their new head coach. The former Green Bay Packers coach has compiled a 125-77-2 record over the past 13 years, reaching the playoffs nine times and leading the Packers to a Super Bowl victory in 2011. This is good news for the Cowboys, considering they have not won a Super Bowl since 1996.
