During the StuCo meeting Monday night, Care for Kyle’s Comrades, a major project for Veteran’s Day, began.
Kyle Stout graduated from Texas High in 2003, and was killed Friday, July 30, while serving in Afghanistan. In his honor, a district-wide effort has begun to send care packages overseas, to the men and women who served with Stout.
For this project, donations are being collected at the bonfire pep rally Thursday, and at the first play-off game against John Tyler Friday night at Grim. Donations can include:

- Wisp Toothbrushes
- Dental Floss/Breath Mints/Mouthwash
- Travel-Sized Board Games/Cards
- Lotion/Soap
- Energy Bars/Granola Bars
- Jerky
- Sunflower Seeds/Peanuts
- Powdered Energy Drink
- Chewing Gum
- Instant Coffee/Kool-aid/Tea
- Individual Packages of Crackers/Chips/Dry Cereal
- Dried Fruit
- Chex Mix
- Hard Candy
- Christmas Stockings
Monetary donations are also accepted.
