The yearbook, newspaper and online newspaper have been named Crown Finalists by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, which released the award winners Monday.
This year CSPA judged digital only, print magazine, print newspaper and print yearbook as well as a new category–hybrid, those publications that work to combine their digital and print publications as one.
The print and online editions of the Tiger Times were recognized in the hybrid category, and the 2012 Tiger yearbook was recognized in the print yearbook category.
Crown Awards are the highest recognition given by the CSPA to a student print or online medium for overall excellence.
Finalists will receive a Gold or Silver Crown Award during CSPA’s 89th Annual Convention March 20-22 at Columbia University in New York.
