Another group of freshman entered the halls of Texas High for the first time Aug. 16 during the annual Tiger Camp orientation

“Tiger camp is suppose to get the students inducted into the traditions. It gives them a familiarity with the school they don’t have yet,” Stuco Adviser Susan Waldrep said. “It’s a lot of fun and they get to feel a part of Texas High before they start school.”

Not only do the new ninth graders learn where their classes are and how the school runs, they also get their first taste of Tiger pride.

“The best part of Tiger camp to me was the pep rally,” freshman Morgan Cook said. “It really got me in the school spirit.”
