Texas versus Arkansas week, Sept. 5-8, is filled with crazy outfits and age-old
traditions. Each day has its own dress-up day, ending with the long-time tradition of the bacon
fry on Friday. Friday night will be filled with bright lights as the historic rivalry of Texas High vs.
Arkansas High takes place at the Arkansas High stadium.

Dress- up days:

Tuesday- Originally orange out day, this theme day has been changed to “Let’s go blue and
orange, ORANGE you glad Leonard was a Tiger” due to the tragic and sudden death of
Leonard Parks, a member of the varsity football team.

Wednesday- Apron day as we will be “cooking up a win!”

Thursday- Camo day where we are “on the HUNT for some hogs.”

Friday- Extreme Texas; we will wear red, white, and blue because “that’s what I like about
Texas!”

Friday morning, starting at 7:30, people can show up to get freshly made eggs and
bacon and share school spirit as we get ready to face the hogs.
