With spring break around the corner, a favorite hot spot in Texarkana is making its yearly comeback just in time.

Southern Tropics had its grand opening on March 5 at 12 p.m. with over 90 classic flavors for customers to try out. With toppings ranging from regular cream to a thick and creamy donut glaze, there is no way to skip out on this refreshing treat.

With lines long enough to reach the street, the crowd was unbeatable on opening day. There is no doubt that Southern Tropics is one of the hottest place to cool off this season.

“I went to Southern Tropics on opening day,” junior Allison Yancey said. “I’m excited for summer to be able to spend it with my friends at this fabulous place.”
