The Bobcats have the edge on offense. Their rushing attack has racked up close to 2000 yards this season, 300 of which came last week against Mt. Pleasant. The Tigers will have a tough time trying to slow down this hard-hitting attack. Their old-man style football will keep Texas High on it’s heels.
The Tiger defense is the best in the district, though that’s not really saying a whole lot. Granted the defensive unit does have a lot of talent, but it still allows close to 25 points a game to district opponents. The Tigers have a better defense in this game, but it probably won’t take them very far in the playoffs.
The Tigers have improved this year. They’ve had to put up with a lot of injuries and had to amp up their passing game quite a bit. The addition of Hunter to the offense could be a difference-maker here, but it will be enough to bring the Tigers to victory. They just aren’t good enough.
Better luck next year, Tigers.
My prediction: Texas High- 17; Hallsville- 24
