Foods to smash during the big game

During the Super Bowl, everyone expects two things: a good game and even better food. All of these Super Bowl foods cost less than $10 and take less than 20 minutes to prepare with never ending meat and delicious cheese. Each recipe serves four to six people.
- 16 pack of hamburger slider buns
- One pound of ground beef or turkey
- One package of cheddar cheese
- One green pepper sliced thin
- Two tablespoons worchestire sauce
- One tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup of sliced mushrooms
- ¼ cup of soy sauce
First, turn the stove on high heat and add the olive oil to the pan. Place your turkey or beef on the pan for 5-6 minutes. Slowly add and stir the worchestire sauce, soy sauce and season with salt and pepper. As the chicken is cooking, place the buns in the stove at 350 degrees for three minutes. Take out the buns and put the cheese on the individual meat patties. Finally, place the meat patties and sliced green peppers between the buns.
- 2 to 3 medium russet potatoes
- Three cups of mozzarella or parmesan cheese
- Two tablespoons olive oil
- One rotisserie chicken, shredded
- ½ cup of green onions
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
To start, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Then, slice the freshly rinsed potatoes into fourths, discarding the ends of the potatoes. Season the potatoes with olive oil, salt and pepper. Place the potatoes in the oven and turn every 10 minutes. In the meantime, combine the chicken with the cheese and green onions. Once the potatoes are done cooking, spread the mixture on the potato and place back in oven for five more minutes until the cheese is melted.
- One rotisserie chicken, shredded
- 1-2 packages of nachos
- Three tablespoons of BBQ sauce
- Two cups of mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup of sliced green onions
- ¼ cup of pico de gallo
- Guacamole and sour cream to serve
This recipe takes less than five minutes and only requires mixing and layering each ingredient. First, mix the chicken and BBQ sauce in a bowl. Second, place the tortilla chips on a plate and layer the chicken on bed of tortilla chips. Spread the remaining ingredients on top and microwave the dish for two minutes on high. Finally, dollop the guac and sour cream on top.
- One package of frozen garlic bread
- 2-3 cups of mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup of pizza sauce (marinara or alfredo) and spoon to scoop sauce into pizza.
- One package (3 ounces) of pepperoni or turkey slices
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Place desired amount of garlic bread in oven for five minutes. In the meantime, Then, take out garlic bread and place tray on stovetop. Use a spoon to scoop the desired amount of your pizza sauce on the garlic bread. Disperse the cheese on the garlic bread and add turkey or pepperoni slices on top. Place the tray back in the oven for five more minutes. Take out the tray and let it cool off for a few minutes and enjoy.
- One large loaf of Italian or French bread
- ½ cup of melted butter
- 1 teaspoon of garlic salt
- 8 ounces of sharp cheddar and parmesan
- 8 slices of bacon
- ½ cup chopped green onions
First, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Then, begin cutting the bread diagonally and vertically leaving one inch margins. Make sure to leave the crust intact. Stir garlic salt with the melted butter and drizzle the paste on the loaf of bread. In a large bowl, mix the cut bacon, cheese and green onions together and stick the remnants in the crevices of the bread. Lay a piece of foil on the counter horizontally, and a second long piece of foil on top of it vertically. Center the stuffed loaf of bread on the foil and wrap. Bake for 20 minutes, then open up the top of the foil and bake for another five minutes. Watch the bread so that it doesn’t burn. When opening up the loaf, be careful and then serve the bread hot and ready.
