Peyton Sims is spending her third year in publications as an Editor in Chief x2 of newspaper and photography. Pandemic and all, Peyton will lead the newspaper staff alongside one of her best friends, Cate Rounds. While this year has taken an unexpected turn for everyone and consists of more face masks and hand sanitizer than anyone could’ve imagined, nothing will stop her from soaking up each and every second of senior year. The worst part for Peyton is that while living in the most valued moments of her life, she already realizes how much she’s going to miss Publications. To keep from crying herself to sleep every night, she spends her time taking pictures of absolutely everything (usually on the classic disposable camera), working on a new painting, writing away at a new short story, or putting together a new wild outfit combo for the following day. Peyton can’t wait for the memories that are yet to be made and all of the stories that are soon to be written. While she dreads the day that she’ll walk out of room 50A and 50B for the final time, she knows all of the excitement that still lies ahead. It’s time to make this year one to remember–– here’s to many more Tiger Times articles, work nights full of soothing music, laughter shared among the entire staff, and an unforgettable story that’s waiting to unfold.

Many single people may truly feel content about not having an “other half,” but they must admit that the feeling of solitariness grows when Valentine’s Day is near. There’s no shame in longing for the touch of another person on this passionate holiday, but being single doesn’t mean you can’t still have a romantic, candle-lit night in.
